Effective Date: October 3, 2014
"Personal information" means information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you and which is submitted to and/or collected by TSF Websites and which is maintained by TSF in an accessible form. Examples of personal information include your name, your address and your telephone number.
HOW DOES TSF COLLECT INFORMATION ONLINE?
TSF collects information in two ways:
Personal Information You Submit:
TSF collects personal information you enter into data fields on TSF Websites. For example, you may submit your name, address, email address, and/or other information in order to receive information about various subjects, register for programs, contact customer service, or respond to surveys. To protect your privacy, you should not provide any information not specifically requested.
Passive Collection of Unidentifiable Information:
TSF Websites may also collect information about your traffic to and on TSF Websites without your active submission of information. Unidentifiable information may be collected using various technologies, such as cookies, Internet tags, and web beacons. Your Internet browser automatically transmits to TSF Websites some of this unidentifiable information, such as the URL of the website you just visited and the browser version your computer is operating. Passive information collection technologies can make your use of TSF Websites easier by allowing TSF to provide better service, customize sites based on consumer preferences, compile statistics, analyze trends, and otherwise administer and improve TSF Websites. Certain features of TSF Websites may not work without use of passive information collection technologies. Information collected by these technologies cannot be used to identity you without your active submission of additional identifiable information.
In what circumstances might TSF collect and use personal information? TSF may use personal information you provide through TSF Websites to respond to your questions and to provide you with more efficient customer service. After you have entered personal information into a form or data field on a TSF Website, TSF may use certain identifying technologies to allow that TSF Website to "remember" your personal preferences, such as sections of that TSF Website you visit frequently and, if you choose, your user identification. We may also use personal information for other business purposes, such as to offer you the opportunity to receive notices regarding TSF’s products or services, to invite you to participate in surveys about our products, or to notify you about special promotions.
DOES TSF CONSOLIDATE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
TSF may consolidate personal information of customers who use TSF Websites. TSF may use this information to help improve the design of TSF Websites or TSF products, to communicate information to you, to enhance our marketing and research activities, and to facilitate other business functions.
WHAT CHOICES DO I HAVE ABOUT HOW TSF COLLECTS AND USES PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME?
You may always limit the amount and type of personal information TSF receives about you by not entering personal information into forms or data fields on TSF Websites. However, some of our online services may only be available to you if you provide certain personal information. Other parts of TSF Websites may ask whether you wish to opt out or opt in our contact lists to receive special offers, promotions and additional services that may be of interest to you.
You may also be provided with preference questions or preference boxes allowing you to indicate that you do not want TSF Websites to use tracking technologies, such as cookies, to "remember" your personal information, such as user IDs or mailing addresses, on return visits. However, TSF Websites that use tracking technologies to collect unidentifiable information do not generally provide you with the ability to opt out of the tracking technologies. Some Internet browsers allow you to limit or disable the use of tracking technologies that collect unidentifiable information.
WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME?
Personal information will only be accessible by a restricted number of TSF employees, certain companies with whom TSF may conduct joint programs, and/or by individuals and entities with whom TSF contracts to carry out certain business activities on TSF’s behalf. We train our employees about the importance of privacy and how to appropriately handle, manage and secure customer data. TSF requires contractors who may have access to your personal information to not only secure such information but also to use such information only in the performance of its services on TSF’s behalf. It is our intention to notify you when you register for any program conducted by TSF in conjunction with any another company that may require access to your personal information.
DOES TSF SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES?
Unless it is necessary to provide access to your personal information in order to conduct a joint program or carry out a program or activity with a contractor, such as for credit card processing, TSF does not generally share your personal information with any third party and, whenever applicable, you will be provided with an opportunity to opt in or opt out of the program. In the event TSF sells one of its product lines or divisions, your personal information may be transferred to the buyer so that the buyer can continue to provide you with information and services. TSF requires contractors who may have access to your personal information to not only secure such information but also to use such information only in the performance of its services on TSF’s behalf.
Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, TSF reserves the right to disclose your personal information to respond to authorized information requests from government authorities, to address national security situations, or when otherwise required by law.
