Order at least two weeks before your event to be safe. We make each topper to order in 4 to 5 business days after you approve the proof, then add shipping time from Palm Springs. If you're closer to the wire, message us before you buy and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it work.

Can you rush my order if my wedding is soon?

Often, yes. Send us a note with your event date before you order and we'll let you know if we can meet that deadline. A rush is $25, and we usually get rush proofs out within a few hours and ship within 2 days of your approval. Rush covers production only, so if timing is very tight you may want choose expedited shipping of 2-3 day priority or 1-2 day express in the cart. We'll walk you through it.

Will the topper fit and sit safely on my cake?

Yes. This topper is 6.25" wide and 6" tall and weighs only 2 to 3 ounces, so it rests on top of a standard tier without sinking or tipping. The insertion stake pushes gently into the frosting to hold it upright. If you have a small or delicate cake, tell us and we'll suggest the best stake length.

Is the 2-inch insertion stake long enough to hold the topper in the cake?

Both the 2-inch and 4-inch stakes hold the topper securely, so it comes down to height, not stability. The 2-inch sits the topper lower and closer to the cake. The 4-inch lifts it up so it stands taller above the top tier. Either way the topper only weighs about 3 ounces, so there's no risk of sinking. Every topper also comes with a snap-off base stand for displaying it after the wedding, and some customers set it on the cake for extra stability since the frosted/clear acrylic base blends in and won't be noticed. If you want the taller look, you can add the 4-inch stake to your order.

What is 'W/Snap Off'?

We etch a straight line across the top of the cake insertion stake so that it can snap-off cleanly after your event - it can fit easily in its base. We provide an oval acrylic base so that your topper can stand freely on a book case or table top. The etched line does not make the stake any weaker, it just makes the stake easy to take off when you are ready.

What's the difference between clear and frosted acrylic?

Clear acrylic is see-through, so the lettering looks like it's floating and it nearly disappears into a white cake. Frosted acrylic has a soft, misted finish that stands out a little more and reads as vintage. Both are 1/8-inch thick and food-safe. It comes down to the look you want on your cake.

Can I match the lettering to my wedding colors?

We have 26 fonts and 14 colors to choose from. We send a proof within 24 hours of your order for you to review and approve. Nothing gets cut or engraved until you're happy with the layout, spelling, and colors. If something looks off, we adjust the proof and send it again.

Is the acrylic safe to place directly on food?

Yes. It's food-safe acrylic. The stake inserts into the cake to hold the topper upright and the piece rests above the surface. We recommend a quick wipe with a damp cloth before use.
